Exams
The best way to do well on an exam is to consider the entire length of your course as a pre-exam preparation period. Any study and revision you do during the semester will help you retain information for an end of semester exam.
The University of Arizona has an informative video about the science behind learning and how to use a technique called Spaced Practice. Click on the image below to watch the video.
Exam checklist
Preparation and planning are the keys to exam success. Check that you know:
- the location and time of the exam
- what you are allowed to take into the exam
- the length and format of the exam
- how to divide your time between questions
- the identification you require for admission into the exam.
Self-care
Exams can be a stressful time for many people. If this applies to you, make sure to look after yourself and maintain any self-care routines you might have. Try to get lots of sleep, eat well and take time out to relax and recharge your brain. USQ's Social Hub has a lot of advice written by other students on coping with exams and exam stress.
